European Railroad Discussion > Rail trip to Wismar, Germany

While visiting Hamburg in late June I took a day trip to Wismar, a Hanseatic town on Germany's Baltic Coast.  I took the IC from Hamburg to Schwerin, transferring there to the regional line to Wismar. Two photos are attached.

2. interior of the ODEG train I rode to Wismar. Very clean, unlike the Metro trains in Washington, DC, the commuter rail system closest to my home. Soon after I took this picture, more passengers with bicycles boarded.  And there was room for their bicycles.

I rode quite a few of these ODEG and DB double deckers recently. They are superb trains. Here's a DB version, with impromptu party in progress. Room for all!  Chris uk
