Eurostar's e320

My first sight of one of Eurostar's new-ish Siemens e320 sets passing Stratford International in East London on this afternoon's 12:24 St Pancras to Paris. And boy, was it moving, certainly well in excess of 125 mph.

Great Picture! I never appreciated they were travelling that fast at Stratford - I always though it was more like 100mph until the end at the tunnel at Barking.

I rode one of the the new units a a couple of months ago - they certainly seem more spacious than the earlier trains built to the UK loading gauge.

Some pics from the trip:

1. Older unit with ?East Midlands class 222? behind
2. Boarding at St Pancras
3. View from window in France

I think140mph through the tunnels out of London and so through Stratford. Not been on one yet, they are concentrated on the Paris services and I'm a Brussels user.

Why can't the interior of Amtrak's First or Business Class cars look like this? Well worth the extra fare. On Amtrak, not so much.
