European Railroad Discussion > Hackney Central after a SwimDate: 07/24/16 01:56 Hackney Central after a Swim Author: dwatry This will probably be my last TO post from my year in London! Going back to the US tomorrow, and I'll be very sad to leave. Thanks to Nick 86235 for showing me lots of great London area railfanning locations and answering all my questions about British railroading!
On Thursday I went for my usual swim midday at the London Fields Lido in Hackney, and came back home on the Overground from Hackney Central. On Realtime Trains I noticed 3 freights due within the next 20 minutes, so I stuck around! Unfortunately I only had my celphone for a camera. 1. Felixstowe to Trafford Park Freightliner with 2 Class 86s at Hackney Central. 2. Eastbound Overground train headed to Stratford. 3. Dagenham to Didcot autos at Hackney Central with EWS CLass 66.
