The VR Sm1 of Finland
Author: GPutz

Kiitos, Stas, for the invitation.  Here are three images of the now-retired VR Sm1 EMU cars.  Ffity pair were built between 1968 and 1973, and refurbished between 1994 and 2000.  There is a wikipedia page for VR Class Sm1.
1. Helsinki, 6/5/05
2. Tikkurila, 6/25/05
3. Helsinki, 6/23/05 (Sm1 on left, Sm2 on right)

Great Pics, thanks!

The corrugated side panels look (to a western European) to be typically Russian, (although of course widely copied in China).

Is this a coincidence or do older carriages from other nations also have them?

Here is my tribute to the deceased one.
First photos is from year 2000, when Helsinki railway station did not have a glass roof.
The second is from 2001. Now over that tracks we have hotel building.
