European Railroad Discussion > Apres moi le delugeDate: 09/16/16 07:10 Apres moi le deluge Author: 86235 After three days of record temperatures, which peaked here in SE England at 90F on Tuesday, last night brought torrential rain and thunderstorms. As a consequence of the rain there was a minor landslip on the West Coast Mainline, just north of Watford Tunnel, which derailed a London Midland Milton Keynes to London Euston local train, thankfully without any serious injuries. The London train was then 'clipped' as the BBC describes it by a northbound service.
