European Railroad Discussion > Doc Martin RR station?Date: 10/24/16 20:50 Doc Martin RR station? Author: CPR_4000 Every once in a while the Doc Martin TV show has a scene set at a railroad station. I'd guess it's on a preservation railway, but which one and where? Tonight we watched one of the early Doc Martin "movies" (before the series) and the train was green and yellow with a turbocharged power car on each end. What was that? Sounded good.

Author: CPR_4000 Yes, that's when he arrives at Port Isaac. There are better views of the train and station in daylight when his wife goes back to London around 1:22 in the movie.
Full film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdPnrURAJOo In one scene the station name shows as Bodmin Parkway and there's a small yard in the background. Aha! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodmin_Parkway_railway_station "Great Western Railway manage the station and operate most of the train services, although CrossCountry operate some long distance services. The Bodmin and Wenford Railway operating a heritage service on the branch to the town on certain days." Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 10/25/16 12:00 by CPR_4000. |
