European Railroad Discussion > Trans-Siberian RailwayDate: 03/05/17 11:47 Trans-Siberian Railway Author: Alexmarissa This may be a question for Asia instead of Europe, but: how many freight trains and passenger trains run on the Trans-Siberian Railway mainline every day? Thanks!
Posted from iPhone Date: 03/05/17 13:01 Re: Trans-Siberian Railway Author: NGotwalt I am not sure of an exact number, but I believe in certain regions that it is substanital. Probably north of 50 a day at least anywhere on the entire line. I would bet many segments though are north of 80-110 trains a day.

I've ridden both the Trans-Mongolian and Trans-Manchuria routes, freight traffic on the Manchurian line was much heavier than the Mongolian route.Ā Ā
Here are my pictures from those tripsĀ Trans_Mongolian:Ā https://flic.kr/s/aHsjN31ncTĀ Mongolia-China:Ā https://flic.kr/s/aHsjMVKHZiĀ Trans-Manchurian:Ā https://flic.kr/s/aHsk3BXW2qĀ Right now Russia is a good travel bargin, with the Ruble trading where it is, it makes hotels and hostels more affordable as well as the train fares. I was in Russia back in June and didn't have any problems as an American. Even getting a Russian visa is easy if you pay a little extra to have a an agency do it for you. I use Travel All Russia,Ā https://www.travelallrussia.com, and find the process much easier than doing it yourself, getting a multi-entry passport is the best way to go.Ā Date: 03/06/17 17:35 Re: Trans-Siberian Railway Author: mundo Some great photos seldom seen of the TS.
