Railroaders' Nostalgia > AFT Maps Ft Worth to Dallas to Wichita Falls

Federal Supply assembled the train, then the 610's third AFT move, Ft Worth to Dallas over the T&P.
A mere 32mi. No helper.

We left Dallas with the 610 running back over the T&P. At Ft Worth the 4449 took over from the 610. The trade was done at FW&D's 17th St yard near Tower 55.
Ft W to Wichita Falls was over the FW&D. There were no water stops, but we picked up the press at Bowie. We displayed at Sheppard AFB which is (was) on the MK&T, and they did the site switching.
No helper. 32mi T&P / 114mi FW&D

The Sheppard Air Force spur is long gone, but you can still see where it left the old MKT line and went into the base.

The shortline Wichita, Tillman & Jackson now runs the old MKT line north of WF.
