Myers web page on his Southern Pacific years Author: mwbridgwater Just discovered this... maybe some of you already knew of it. Some interesting information, recollections and photos on the personal website of G. E. Myers.
His Southern Pacific page: http://geo-jo.com/Southern%20Pacific.htm The Home page: http://geo-jo.com/ Does anyone know if he is still with us? Home page says last updated over eight years ago in 2006. George would be 89 in a couple of months. Mark Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/28/14 23:13 by mwbridgwater. Date: 06/29/14 14:15 Re: G. E. Myers web page on his Southern Pacific years Author: Westbound Interesting website, thanks for posting. I have not heard anything about George Meyers since he left for Arizona years ago. In the 1966 b & w photo of the hirail, that is C. E. Peacock, 2nd from left, who was Assistant Terminal Supt. at San Jose back when George was Terminal Supt. there.
Date: 07/22/14 16:21 Re: G. E. Myers web page on his Southern Pacific years Author: hogheaded George Myers hired me as a switchman when he was the San Jose terminal superintendent, and I later encountered him when he was a Tucson Division assistant superintendent, shortly before he retired.
After reading the previous posts, I tried contacting him, but to no avail. Date: 09/23/14 14:58 Re: G. E. Myers web page on his Southern Pacific years Author: WP-M2051 Died August 18, 2014.
