This move would have been unremarkable if not for the first 30 miles.
Total 137 miles (135 mi Southern, 2 mi SCL).
From Greenville to Spartanburg we ran: Southern diesels, 4449 backwards, entire consist backwards (205 leading- crew car 76 on the rear). At Spartanburg everything was wyed and train left in normal order, unassisted, behind the '49.
Water stop at Spartanburg and press p/u at Alston. Switching in Columbia done by SCL. Site no longer exists.
