Boilingman, with your documentation of the American Freedom Train, which the T&P 610 powered through Texas before then going over into excursion service on the Southern Railway, perhaps you could share some recollections of her over on that main thread? Or any others of you that had experiences with either the T&P 2-10-4 610 or the Cotton Belt 4-8-4 819 (also worth noting that some of the SSW 800s were sent West and became SP GS-7s and GS-8s in the SP Peninsula Commute Service in their last years, and were well-beloved in that role)...
