Railroaders' Nostalgia > The Bozeman MT beagleDate: 01/29/16 09:45 The Bozeman MT beagle Author: skidroe In reference to the previous message about dogs and the dining car crews.
Every time I rode Amtrak's NCH east ,the beagle was always there waiting.. The last photo was of the beagle next to Bruno's grave at the depot Edited 1 time(s). 66 Date: 01/29/16 11:40 Re: The Bozeman MT beagle Author: BN31349 Thank you for posting those great photos. The first one of Number 10 almost to the top of Homestake Pass reminds me of that great view one had of Butte and the Flats.
Descending on Number 9 was a treat also. If the train was late, those city lights sparkled like jewels in the dark. The Vista Domes were almost as good as riding in the engine. You could see the track ahead and the block signals dropping to red as you passed. Ah, times past. It was a very enjoyable job to catch from the Livingston Trainsman's Board.
