I had the privilege of beginning to know him just before he passed. I heard the Pelegro story and a couple of others from,this El Paso based RFE. I know engine3420 has a few and many of his coworkers missed him after his retirement. Anyone want to share some memories since he passed away in 1996?

Was he a RFE or Asst. RFE in Tucumcari c.1984?

He was RFE. He started on Donner and after he retired from the SP a siding was banned for him. After he retired he came out to 3420 a few times. Some of the old heads found out Some of the volunteers we're talking to him and would give us messages to pass along. When I get my computer up and running I post the Pelegro story as he told it to me.
