Eastern Railroad Discussion > CBS SundayMorning Future StoryDate: 04/13/06 09:01 CBS SundayMorning Future Story Author: bert14 Passing this on from the VFRE site--Sounds interesting--Thanks to John Fuller
Regards, Bert Picked up from the Florida Railfan Yahoo group, a mention in someone's report on the annual Folkston (Georgia) Railwatch event last weekend: "Of course the trains (more than 100 by Dennis Snyder's rough count) almost took a back seat to the clamour caused by Bill Geist and his CBS Sunday Morning crew. They shot all day Friday and Sunday and are still shooting Monday, I believe. Look for their story to run on Sunday Morning April 23 or 30." The program mentioned airs Sunday mornings 9:00-10:30. Bill Geist's tongue-in-cheek features typically air in the last half hour. John Fuller Date: 04/13/06 09:07 Re: CBS SundayMorning Future Story Author: RFandPFan Bill Geist and his crew were there for the entire weekend. Very nice guy. He interviewed a lot of people, so who knows what will actually end up on the show. He seemed very interested about our hobby. When he asked if people thought I was crazy watching trains, I told him that eveytime I drive by a golf course, I wonder if they are crazy, chasing a little white ball around.
The segment should air either the 23rd or the 30th of April according to his producer. Railfest 2006 was a huge success. Lots of people showed up, everyone acted safely and sanely. Even the CSX police commented on how everything went smoothly. How on earth do people develop such fears? Not from that "Fair and Balanced" channel, is it? Date: 04/14/06 00:21 Re: CBS SundayMorning Future Story Author: drwes Hardly from the Fox News Channle. I would believe it from ABC, NBC, CBS or CNN.
