Louisville and Wadley

Howdy, Y'all. Can anybody give me any information about the Louisville and Wadley Railroad Company (reporting marks "LW)?

Thanks for the help.

Jimmie

Essentially a "paper railroad." Their line has been out of service between the namesake cities for many years. Their sole locomotive is a full Southern Railway colors SW1, and it spends its time rusting away in the weeds and woods at Wadley, GA. The railroad itself hasn't turned a wheel in ages, but its lease fleet of freight cars can be seen coast to coast.

Thanks, Eddiejack. I like to check out what trains are carrying and am still learning (amateur railfan). So when I find a freight car carrying an unusual load, or having a reporting mark I don't recognize, I like to try and learn a little about it. I've found out that a lot of the good folks here on TO are willing to share their knowledge about railroading, and I sure appreciate it.

I've set up a couple of MSN groups with pictures and comments (strickly amateur railfan and amateur photographer). Anyone is welcome to check them out.
