They briefly showed a map this morning but I missed it. Interesting train. Behind the two Genesis units is a converted F40 baggage unit 99225 that had its roof panels removed and modified to accept two satellite antennas for broadcasting from the train all next week. If they have issues with signals from the train a number of helicopters are going to pace the train for added back up for transmission of the programs. The train is made up of Superliner cars and on the rear a couple of Pennsy painted cars private cars.

Was here in Albany, NY the other day. Probably south or west of NYC by now.

Perhaps because McCain is supposed to be on board that the route isn't being advertised. Putting the cities where the train is supposed to pass through helps a good rail fan piece the track together. Like Lenox, MA and Niagara Falls N.Y. and Harper's Ferry WV. I figure Erie, PA might be in the group as there are just so many routes.

The intricate electronics installed in one of the rail cars is an absolute maze of complex wiring to broadcast from a moving train. Not to mention the security equipment.

Anybody know any of the other whistle stops?
