Give me three step protection...

Here are some trains in action in the Jessup, Ft. Meade, Savage and Laurel, Maryland areas this overcast Saturday Feburary 28, 2009.

First pic is L173 led by CSX 5261, 8757, and 5480 passing by Q261 working Jessup Yard at 11:30 am. Shot taken from the Guilford Rd. overpass.

Second and third pics are of Q261 led by CSX 7357 and 7632 working Jessup Yard with the head end pictured here at Ft. Meade Jct.

Next two pics are of loaded trash train Q703 led by CSX 578 and 479 passing by the Laurel, Md. Marc commuter train station at 12:51 pm.

Bottom pic is of Q261 heading westbound past Laurel station at 1:05 pm.

Top pic is a going away shot of Q261.

Middle pic is eastbound L174 led by CSX 5446 and 7840 passing by Laurel station at 1:30 pm.

Bottom pic is Q139 led by CSX 5410 and 5357 passing through Brentwood, Md. Pic taken from the 38th street overpass at 2:38 pm.

I would hate to be the conductor on the job that has to pull that flat! I'd bet that it's a real pain, to get the couplers to line up! CSX was leaving me those 86' auto parts box cars right at the apex of the curve, where we pick them up in Martinsburg, WV. I had to use chains, to get them to where I could couple my train to them.
