If you look at the paint above the numberboards color gray is different.. thats where the CEFX lettering was painted over.. CEFX #2793 was built as SP SD45 #9099. After retirement by SP it went to Precision National where it sat in the backlot in Mt.Vernon,Illinois for many years before being used as a core unit in the 33 unir CEFX SD40-2 rebuild order.
