An Eastern Where Is It (could fool you)
Author: rbx551985

'Could fool you? It's part of a BNSF "brown worm" grain train -- somewhere EAST of the Mississippi River. And I mean WAY east! I'm going to leave this one up to whomever sees it to guess, but I'll wager the correct answer will come sooner than later.

Yeah, that was too easy -- even for a Western grain train. It is indeed West Acca Wye in Richmond, Va. - and this was the first half of a very long freight train with a significant number of BNSF covered hoppers, more than I've EVER seen in Virginia on a single freight train (on ANY Eastern railroad).

I have a picture of some guy hanging out of a vestibule on one of the RBX trains at just about that spot that I took a few years ago...

BNSF "earthworm" grain trains are very common across NY State on CSXT.. always features a mixed bag of BNSF power. They are G344 and G396 for the Port of Albany. Sometimes there are few BNSF grain trains heading to PAS via Rotterdam Jct to Ayer, MA.

I guess I should have cropped out the building at right in the shot -- then it might have been just a bit more difficult to figure it out. (Next time.... different locale.)
