Well it was last Sunday that I made the 90 minute trip to the GE plant in Erie, PA and saw The new CSX logo on unit 951 and have not heard or seen anything about them since. So, I decided to take a chance and head out this morning to see if I could find any more. When I left it was raining then sleeting then snowing and when I got to Ashtabula, the sun was shinning. By the time I made it to Erie, it was pretty cloudy and sprinkling. The good thing is that there were 3 units setting out ready to be picked up and accessible. Unit numbers were 953, 950 and 954. Sorry for the so so quality, but it was cloudy with light rain showers

It looks like [ CSX ] with a few dots underneath. Hard to tell from that angle. I supposed it is supposed to represent CSX inside a train car? Interesting tweak that somebody came up with.

To me, the blue color looks a little lighter than the current YN3 blue. Maybe, because it's newer and cleaner??

I like it, wish they would have changed the colors too, and added their slogan "how tomorrow moves" as well. Wonder if it makes any of the re-paints, I would assume it will. I guess it is officially the YN4?

I like the boxcar logo on the side, not so much on the nose.

That's been CSX's logo for some time now...so its not really anything new per se...just new to rolling stock.

I know what you mean about the logo on the front. The CSX logo by itself is much larger, it would be the size of the whole box car affect....going to look like a small logo from afar.

Bring back "New Image" and some heritage schemes. "Dark Future" is just to blah. Almost makes me glad I am in BNSF and UP territory now.

They must be the first railroad to ever put a nice big "TM" on the side of the engines. Wonder if that was the legal department's contribution for the year....

"How Tomorrow Moves" would look good up on the radiator fins.

In the pictures of the front and rear of the locmotive, does anyone know what the cable is for that is right beside the brake pipe? It almost looks like a heavy duty extention cord, and I've never seen this before. Is this something that only appies to CSX ES44AHs or is it a new GE modification?
