Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS Symbol HelpDate: 06/26/12 13:01 NS Symbol Help Author: zchcsse I saw some trains on my recent Ohio trip that I don't have origin/destination info for, and was wondering if you could fill in the blanks if you know. Most of these are unit trains, so they may be difficult, but I'll try anyways.

Not sure of its northern terminus.
186 Chicago, IL (BRC) - Linwood, NC 260 Kansas City, MO - Detroit, MI. Not sure if Fostoria/Bellevue is its usual routing. Detour perhaps? Andrew Date: 06/26/12 14:55 Re: NS Symbol Help Author: zchcsse florida581 Wrote:

I think the 260 now terminates at Sandusky. I saw it in Fostoria one day (thought I might have misheard the symbol, but the 262 ran right behind it that day), and the next day I saw it at Bellevue. It didn't turn towards Toledo, but went up towards Sandusky. Date: 06/26/12 17:04 Re: NS Symbol Help Author: Bath_wildcat 260 should terminate at Sandusky, as the triple crown roadrailer facility is there. I took a behind the scenes tour with a mechanical man some years ago knowing the history of the area, and seeing the coal docks. Seeing the coal dock up close was a dream come true for me.

That 864 did have DEEX hoppers, so that would seem right. Date: 06/27/12 15:32 Re: NS Symbol Help Author: gborgwald See http://railroadfan.com/wiki/index.php/NS_Train_Symbols
