Are reroutes still occurring?
Author: howeld

Are things getting back to normal on CSX and NS on the east coast? Haven't heard much about any reroutes with the storm. I did see an R409 Friday on the Indy line. It is a Selkirk, NY to Waycross GA train. I believe it took the Toledo sub to Cincinnati and points south.

On NS with Allentown and NJ there were no detours whatsoever. When the storm hit all traffic was stopped outright and held until things were up and running again.

R244 northbound on Toledo sub to Chicago has ran a few times this week. Doubt if it had anything to do with Sandy

244 is a Louisville to Chicago train that has detoured to Cincinnati and up Toledo sub due to the derailment/fire/hazmat incident west of Louisville on the PAL. 204 has also detoured up the LIRC to Seymour IN, then west on the Indiana Sub.
