New Oil Trains over CSX Chicago Line K010/K011

CSX is running new oil trains bound for the port of Albany using symbols K010 and K011. On saturday I shot a WB K011 with a BNSF,BN,BNSF,BN lash-up and this morning I caught an EB K010 with a NS,NS,BN lash-up. A nice change from the CSX widecab GEs.

Can you imagine this train blocking a few grade crossings and having to tell someone you ran out of gas.

OK, I know they run on Diesel, not gasoline and the stuff in the tanks needs to be refined but it would be ironic.

It an Irving Crude Oil train going from Cicero/BNSF towards Saint John, New Brunswick Canada Irving Oil refinery there.. via NMA via PAS (Guilford at Rotterdam Jct, NY)
