The UP 1996 on a 212;destined for Croxton, NJ. do not know if power will stay on all the way to NJ. On break now back to work. Just a heads up...

UP1996 leads UP8628 and NS9708 on NS 212 through Charlotte, NC (MP 376) at 1:15pm. Heads up Virginia and points north.

Any idea on running time from Charlotte to Hagerstown, MD?

It should take around 12 hours from Charlotte to Hagerstown.

bet it returns trailing on 211 on Turkey Day

IF she makes it as far as NJ then maybe they will send her west on an intermodal thru Altoona and points west; only drawback would be that she would not lead until AFTER Berea. As they say "dreaming does not cost anything..."

Will 212 work Rutherford?

And they're not likely to shuffle the deck after Berea if that happens, either.

As noted above, the UP1996 is likely to be the trailing unit on a westbound out of NJ no matter where they send it.

212 generally has its power sent back on 211, and pretty much every time, it's in reverse order from the way it arrived in Croxton.

Translation: UP 1996 trailing on 211 tomorrow night out of Jersey.

Dreams are free... but they can be remarkably frustrating.

211 has normally run it`s Saturday schedule on holidays in the past.
