This may be headed for the WV Secondary.

Train is to load at Glouster - Buckingham Coal on the WV Secondary and return back north. Sounds as if the non-heritage unit that was second will lead south on the Secondary and the RDG will lead back north.

Where exactly will this train go to now? I read the previous post but am a bit confused as to where this train's final destination is. Thanks...

I don't know the final destination or if it will get a new symbol once loaded as this is a new move. It will flood load tonight at Glouster, OH and head back to Columbus likely in the morning with the RDG leading. After that I don't know.

Supposed to be back in Columbus about 0500 and head back south towards Kenova. Should have the non-heritage leading from Columbus to Kenova.

Train was loaded at the new Buckingham Coal Company location in Glouster, Ohio. Train is now symboled 602. Train was in Columbus a little bit ago. Train should recrew in Watkins Yard and then head south on the old N&W. I do not know where this train's destination is yet...

This coal mine is not "new". Its around 3 years old. G&W's Ohio Central uses the loadout to load trains for the AEP plant in Conesville, Ohio. Usually 5 to 7 54 car trains are loaded a week but AEP is rebuilding the unit that this mine serves. So at the present only 1 or 2 trains load. This is the first time that NS has loaded at the mine.

The article I had read must have had some erroneus information as I was just reiterating what I read. Thanks for the clarification on that...

Well I thought last night about driving down this morning at daybreak and trying to chase her up from Corning. The report when I got up this morning was that she should have hit Columbus at 5:00 so I scrubbed those plans. Then I notice on Heritage Units that she passed thru Thurston well in daylight at around 10:00 AM. Bummer! Is that correct does anyone know? One more case of me not being adventurous and just going for it, but I hated to waste a drive over there when I have other things needing done. I believe the RDG unit was leading on the way out of the mine as well. Would love to catch one of those leaders at Moxahala and several other locations.

As far as I know that information was correct; I myself was thinking about driving down BUT the Ohio weather sucks. I do believe though, and someone else has agreed, that we may see this train for a little bit due to AEP fixing the power plant at Conesville, Ohio. I sure hope so as I agree with you that chasing this train would be fun...

It can be a tough route to leapfrog ahead from one spot to another. Once the train hits New Lex you can get ahead of it due to the speed restriction in town and thru the "wye" onto the old PRR. Once he gets out of Bremen, if they are doing track speed, it can be difficult to get ahead of him again since there is no fast direct route to set up north of Rushville. All the roads are fairly tortuous. He will slow for the grade between Rushville and Pleasantville, especially if he has no "pooosher". But it still can be hard to pace north of Pleasantville due to all the stoplights in Baltimore. One neat spot is the curve where Stoudertown Road crosses. It allows a broad view of the train.
