NS Logansport,IN Derailment (Semi-Truck Caused)

This is located on NS' former Wabash Main. Train hits Semi-All 4 Engines Derailed on Ethanol train. Fortunately no injuries or explosions! Indiana State Rd 25 is closed as the locomotives slid down the bank onto the highway.

He "didn't see the train" coming. He stopped on the tracks. I hope he has VERY good insurance against stupidity....

The part about the locos sliding onto the highway is erroneous.

Correct....a photo posted on Facebook shows the two lead units diverted to the right side of direction-of-travel, away from parallel SR25.

One nasty looking derailment. The crew is very fortunate they were not hurt. Another couple hundred feet the lead locomotive would have been on its side in a creek bed.

No. 34N just happened to have some ethanol near the head end.
