Eastern Railroad Discussion > Obscured by fogDate: 12/17/12 20:11 Obscured by fog Author: jonjonjonjon On a foggy morning in early December I headed out to one of my favorite haunts (so to speak), Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia to see if I could get lucky and catch a train crossing the bridges across the Schuylkill river. Trains can sneak up on you here under the best of circumstances, but more so in the fog.
I got set up and a few minutes later, a Hi-Rail truck went by - not a good sign that any trains will be forthcoming! I started packing it in, but thought I heard a rumble, and sure enough, a train was trying to sneak by me, headed towards Bridgeport to the west. You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. John Date: 12/18/12 05:53 Re: Obscured by fog Author: jonjonjonjon I think he was going slow due to a restricting signal on the other end of the bridge that I couldn't see. Or he couldn't see, perhaps.
