Does anyone recognize this car, RPCX 2949?
Author: pbrasky

[Passenger] car RPCX 2940 arrived in Kingston Yard (MP 88.8, CSXT's NJ Sub, nee CR Riverline, Kingston, N.Y.) on either Friday, March 1 or Saturday, March 2. It's still there and has no other data stenciled on its fading green body + peeling silver roof. However, there is a sloppily painted over flattened diamond logo between the last window and door in this view (looking to the northeast). It does have a diesel generator mounted on the undercarriage and all windows appear to be heavily weathered, translucent plexiglass.

Definitely an ex-LIRR coach - I believe it is headed to the Catskill Mountain Railroad, but will need to be trucked due to the RR's lack of a connection to CSX's Riverline (or any other outside line for that matter).

Thanks for the car ID! I suspected it may have been purchased by the CMRR, but don't know whether it will be trucked to Phoenicia or to their yard less than 1 mile to the south.
