On The Atchison, Topeka and The Santa Fe in Youngstown
Author: OhioRails

Greetings,

My Trainorders account expired last month, and I was too lazy to renew my account right away, so I never got a chance to share these when they were fresh in the camera.

A long way from home (Ex- ATSF) BNSF #603 (Dash 9-44CW) and (Ex- ATSF) BNSF #656 (Dash 9-44CW) lead westbound CSX mixed freight train Q375 west through Youngstown, Ohio on Wednesday, September 18, 2013.

Photo one: Santa Fe in the heart of the rust belt! Center Street in Youngstown/Struthers, Ohio.

Photo two and three: Santa Fe with the city of Youngstown in the background.

With power like this, one has to question whether or not they are out west on the ATSF (now BNSF) or in the northeast on CSX.

OH YEAH!

- Scott "OhioRails"

PS - Photo three can be found on page 32 of November's Railpace News magazine.

Great catch. Although the paint is showing wear, it's always great to see not just one but a pair of Santa Fe warbonnets together that are still lettered for Santa Fe.
