Are any of the MARC GP40W still in service? The ones with F45 style of nose with GP40X bodies.....

I don't know about "officially;" but I haven't seen one in over a year on the Brunswick Line. Gerry

The 2013 DPA-LTA official diesel roster book does not list any GP40Ws for MARC. Haven't seen any of them in two years on any of their three lines.

I heard a rumor that CSX acquired one to use in their executive train service...Not sure if I believe that or not...

Not a rumor CSX did buy one(ex-MARC GP40WH-2 #69)for its Track Geometry train. It should be at Huntington getting overhauled before entering service as CSXT 9969.

Here is one! They were sent to Boise to have MPI cabs attached to them. Three have now been delivered to the brand new commuter railroad SunRail in Orlando, FL. This train was sent downtown on display to drum up business for the start of operation this spring.

Any idea which MARC locomotive this one is the picture was? What original MARC units did Sunrail purchase?
