Eastern Railroad Discussion > CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OHDate: 04/15/14 18:05 CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: nancyg CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River but first, we went out today as it was snowing!!!!! Caught a few trains in Kent, but I also love the Cuyahoga River as it is over it’s banks
and is flowing furiously as you can tell in some of my shots. photo 1) In Cuyahoga Falls, OH the Q368 is e/b at BG125 on the right is Route 8, bread and buns is on the other side. Alan said I got a starburst in the headlight. photo 2) Photo two Q368 with a white face. photo 3) Q 016 comes east right behind the Q368 on track one and will probably pass the Q368 before it gets CP 120 nancyg Date: 04/15/14 18:05 Re: CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: nancyg photo 4) We stopped at Shelly Materials to see our friend Engineer Bob. I took a photo of the Shelly “Flash” SD18m leading the CSX K920, not really
just kidding. photo 5) From the Main Street bridge shot the Q359 as it passes by the raging Cuyahoga River. photo 6) We heard the K320 call CP120 and ran across the street to get a photo of the passage below with the Pufferbelly Restaurant above and the raging Cuyahoga River below. nancyg Date: 04/15/14 18:06 Re: CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: nancyg photo 7) With a HU from FEC2000 we caught two Canadian Nationsls leading the Q253 under the W&LE overpass.
Had to try my new lens out again in snowy cloudy weather. Any comments, corrections, or comments welcomed. Nancy Date: 04/15/14 18:44 Re: CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: refarkas Great shots. Photo five combines railfanning and the natural world into a beautiful image of railroading in the aftermath of a light snow in Northeast Ohio.
Bob Date: 04/15/14 19:02 Re: CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: FEC2000 Nice job Nancy, you got a much better picture than I did of the Q253 with the CN/CP combo.
Here's one you missed. K594 pipe train. Date: 04/15/14 19:12 Re: CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: agrafton Date: 04/15/14 19:23 Re: CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: nancyg refarkas Wrote:

I also notice ornate bridges and other silly things. The river has been raging with all of the rain/snow we have had. It is up, but thank goodness it is staying within its confines. Very nice set of pictures Tom Boylan Date: 04/16/14 00:14 Re: CSX along the raging Cuyahoga River in Kent,OH Author: aussiehinz Kent is a great place for train pix. Of course, it was really something when EL was alive, but the former B&O through there still provides a good amount of action & variety, as well as many scenic photo opportunities.
