Happy Trestle Thursday, everyone! Yesterday, I caught CSX intermodal Q198 crossing the Alcovy Trestle in Covington, GA. Power was a lone GE ES44AH.

Nice...I roll by the Alcovy trestle whenever I'm in the area. Never caught a train, though.

Having a radio has helped me increase my catches on the Georgia Road. Dispatch calls to alert the switching jobs in the area of the on coming traffic, usually with about a 50 mile warning.

You would be correct! I, however, am too young to have seen the previous bridge. First time I seen this one was in the early 90's.
