Interstate on 777...
Author: Forever-Railfan-45

Got word from friend, visual sighting, that the Interstate went west past Duncannon, Pa. this am. Still has the NS 8105/CEFX 1043. Still has the PGNX cars as well; taking the same route as the RDG did last week on 747. These NC bound trains "usually" load at Bailey as Bailey can load about 100 cars in two and a half hours. Once loaded "should" possibly become another 776.

And based on a photo from yesterday's 777 thread, it still needs a bath, too.

Listening to the feed from railroadradio.net the crew is inspecting the train at MP 249 on 4 west. That was around 11:30. Hopefully it gets moving soon so it's a daylight run through Ohio tomorrow.

It won't be a daylight run in Ohio on Friday. It has to go load coal first - probably at Bailey Mine as noted previously. That MIGHT get it onto Ohio rails on Saturday as #776, though based on the last run my guess would be Sunday, if the power stays with the train that long.

On the move again. Going through Lilly, PA just after 1pm slooooooowly. Was told to tie down the train at the west end of CP Wing. Cab was called to take the crew to Conway at 2:30.

Carl, it was CEFX #1037 when I saw N22 come out of Bailey mine on April 12th.

It has finally made it to Shire Oaks. The PGNX trains inspect at SO but weather it inspects loaded or empty depends on it's scheduled load time and how busy the car inspectors are.

John you were right in that CEFX engine. 746/776 are the "hot" coal trains right now...for some reason NS is putting a priority on these.
