NYC unit on 64K in Ohio

Hello.

For those interested today, the NYC is trailing on 64K, but the leader is a UP unit. Last report was in Wauseon Ohio at 7:45 AM. Somewhere they would have to swap the power around or put an NS leader on it.

Hopefully this stays on 64K all the way into NJ, unlike the Mon unit. I would think they would have to either flip this set so the NYC (With cab signals) can lead or add a NS cab-signaled leader around Cleveland.

Stopped in berea gonna spin power in Rockport. Anyone east of Cleveland will catch it leading.

Stopped at Brookpark Road, just before Rockport yard. Looks like it may do the so called switcharoo there, unless they add an engine to the front.

** radio traffics sounds like NYC may lead out, taking the train onto Cloggsville line, Lakefront 2, so most likely doing a switch up with the same power.

Man it sounds like they are gonna just throw an engine on the front... I hope not...

If they were planning to spin the power, though, there was ample time to do that in Toledo before the crew change (unless there's some sort of pay premium for the inbound crew that was to be avoided). 64K sat west of town for well over an hour before moving east and re-crewing. Also could have been done at Fairlane.

I received a text from someone in the field that said the NYC is now leading with a scorched UP second @2:36PM. Has not yet departed.

Train is just finishing up the buffer shuffle at Motor Yard in Macedonia as of 6:05 and is getting ready to go east. NYC is leading.

A short turn crew boarded the train in New Galilee, PA to take the train into Conway. The train is on the move as of 10:28pm. The dispatcher said that the train/power will relay at Conway.
