PAS wb empty coal train rounds the bend in Shirley, MA as a noisy landscaping crew mows and blows a nearby bank for spring clean-up.

i was under the impression that the Bow power plant as well as the Mt Tom power plant were not receiving coal shipments for their power plants any longer

Are train crews allowed to wear earplugs or headphone devices? It would seem that the high level of noise, even in the cabin, would be dangerous over a period of time.

Landscapers, in contrast, often wear ear protection while working. Lawn mowers, blowers, etc.

Bow has been getting 1-2 NS-originated coal trains per week of late plus the occasional limestone train from P&W for the scrubbers. Mt Tom very rarely gets coal train deliveries. In fact, it may not be used these days.
