Great set of pics. I would guess they sounded thunderous in acceleration. Pic 2 with the mining truck is an apt comparison.

I was looking forward to seeing these painted in R&N colors but after seeing your excellent photos they can take their time with the paint. These units look great!

Chico moved to Anthracite country! Have they considered running a Jim Thorpe Chief? (Hey,let's honor our national legends- how many times had a US town or city changed its name to honor an athlete? I can't think of any others).

Great set of pictures. The units look really clean and its great see them in the Coal Region especially at the Tamaqua station. In picture #2 is it a Uke as it looks really big compared to the units?
