SB stopped at Shepherd Jct. signal with 8732(?) in the lead. Not sure if it was 8732 but it was clean and 8732 has been in the area. Don't know the train symbol as I did not have a scanner with me. First saw it there on the way to Van Dorn Street to catch the BNSF units on NS 203. After shooting the 203, the sb was still sitting there 2 hours later with it's front door open. We saw no trains on CSX at Van Dorn Street. There must have been a problem somewhere as we headed back north, Q176, K650 and another nb were all sitting at the north end of "Pot Yard" (South RO). The Q176 was just starting to pull when we passed. What surprise is in store for the 203/204 tomorrow????

Think I heard the tunnel in DC was closed for 3 hrs :-(

8732 sure gets around- it was headed west through Sand Patch at about 9:00 or so 5/16 with a consist of CSX ballast cars. See my "Sand Patch Lull" thread below.
