Nice pic, I remember a couple of years ago seeing an orginal NS covered hopper go over the hump at Spencer Yard at Linwood, NC. It wasn't the same class of car in your pic, however the paint scheme was the same grey with the big red and black NS on the side. The reporting marks had been changed for a leaser, but other than that it looked good. Keep those pics coming.

Excellent picture! I have a boxcar in that scheme in HO. I believe that is the Norfolk Southern shortline, not the Class 1 we know today.

Yes, and no. This NS railroad is not the same NS railroad that you are thinking about.
