a buddy of mine works for CSX in south philly ... he just sent me a photo of the power cut off from train ... both are sitting at the Ameriport yard ... the former CP south philly ramp

Would be quite the sight coming up the ex-Reading line to Manville and then the Shared Assets Lehigh Line.

the power cut off went to Eastside for servicing ... the power will join the train and it will be washed tomorrow in the Ameriport yard ... the train will leave Philly for DC on Wed afternoon ... the purpose of the train to the Philly area is for the honchos to visit the oil facilities where their loaded Bakken and Canadien crude oil trains terminate

Any idea if the train has business out of DC, or is it working its way back to Jax

I'd also be interested to hear any updates on this move. I'm sort of hoping for a night run down the RF&P.

Last time it was up this way though, it went to DC and overnighted at Benning Yard and continued south the following morning.

There were TWO CSX OCS moves yesterday. First was the P929-30 that OOS posted about yesterday which is probably somewhere in North Carolina as I type this heading south. It passed me in Ashland, VA around 1130 or so.

There was also a second one, a P928-30, that came north Tuesday night with CSXT 801 leading the 9992 and about half a dozen business cars. That one is most likely in Philly by now as it was leaving DC around 9:30PM to head north.
