Nice looking power. From a distance, that looks like a Pepsi logo on the long hoods.

A week in, I don't know if they know how often they'll be going to Hendersonville. The logo looks better close-up. On the other hand, Pepsi was born in the Carolinas!

I stopped by Canton while enroute to a track car run on the Great Smoky Mountian RR. During that run we learned that NS was looking for a shortline operatior to take over its operations in Canton and Asheville. Here's what I saw of the NS at Canton on a bleak and rainy Thursday afternoon.

Can you post a roster shot for us to see the side of the units?

I don't guess I have a true roster shot. Wasn't thinking in those terms, but maybe I should have been. #2943 is a GP39-2

Great pictures... It aint often that a body can catch the "first day" of the "first day" of operations; much less SD 45 carbodies at work in a new railroad paint secheme...

Thanks for takin the time to post these great pictures of a real "new beginning...
