"Real" UP Heritage / Other visitors
Author: NS62590

Today was the first day our group of 12 annually visits the Station Inn in Cresson, PA. There's a contingent of us here that meet every year: 3 of us from Ohio (WAS4097 and OhioRails besides myself), 3 from Connecticut, 2 from Virginia, and 2 from Canada (who this year brought 2 friends also from our neighbors to the north). Didn't see a ton of stuff, as Monday is usually the slower of the workdays, but the stuff we did see we stayed dry seeing it - and boy was it good stuff!!!!!! Here's the best of the best.

1) Amtrak 513 leads 04T through Tipton, PA (MP 225 PITL)
2) 24W led by new ACe #1108 in Tipton.
3) 10G with ex Conrail SD60I #6733 in the lead

4) 22W snuck up on us at the porch with the CNW #8701 2nd in consist. Now THIS is what a REAL heritage unit looks like (not saying I dislike the NS heritage but, with those being sparse around here this week, this is a pleasant surprise)
5) Second "catch of the day" was 23Z with the KCS/TFM pair that has been tracked on here. Thanks everyone for their updates on this guy. Here he is from the 17th Street Bridge in Altoona.
6) KCS - TFM close-up

8) Roster shot of the TFM
9) Video from Cresson

Thanks for looking. Hope I have some more good stuff to show as our week goes on!
Happy Tuesday!

That "real" UP heritage looks a lot better leading on CNW rails in Illinois, definitely worth the drive to see the CNW units in the Rochelle/DeKalb area !

The day may have been slow, but the stuff you did photo was very cool.

Lots of neat stuff you shot. Some are a long way from home. Thanks for sharing all.
