Eastern Railroad Discussion > NS (PC) 1073 at CP502, Chicago Line

This clip features Norfolk Southern's Penn Central Heritage locomotive heading westbound through CP 502 in East Chicago, IN on the Chicago Line on the point of empty oil train 65R. Video was taken about a week and a half ago.

It had been a nice sunny day right up until this train came by. Clouds were quickly moving in and some gusty winds were beginning. Nonetheless, with train 31K also slowly moving westbound to branch off onto the IHB, a nice video was to be had. This clip shows the entire 65R train, which (other than 1 car that I've noticed) was made up entirely of the "reverse Oreo" tank cars.

Thanks for the video, that was an interesting cross section of freight going into the IHB.

The oil train looked like it was making decent track speed in there.
