Eastern Railroad Discussion > Transkentucky Transportation dash 7's at nightDate: 08/16/14 18:56 Transkentucky Transportation dash 7's at night Author: stlrailfan List,
while enroute to Summerail in Cincinnati last Friday I was kindly invited to a night photo session hosted by the fine folks at Transkentucky Transportation. Sadly the TTI is pretty slow these days with a soft eastern Kentucky coal market but the great owner and his crew pulled out all the stops in making a memorable night for those in attendance. TTI's current roster is made up of one ex CBQ U28B and a bunch of ex SBD, CSX B36-7's. The TTI crew staged 4 of the B36-7's in the newest paint inside the roundhouse and on the turntable. A special thanks goes out the veteran TTI crew , there hospitable owner and a friend with CSX for setting the whole thing up. Lighting provided by some friends in Chicago. (Yes, I know, Evo's have that arrangement, but that's because the sound from the 4 facing the rear bounces off the exhaust stack and is primarily directed forward.)

Too bad Sunday didn't pan out. Posted from iPhone Date: 08/17/14 05:47 Re: Transkentucky Transportation dash 7's at night Author: DJ-12 Very nice! I'd heard things were really slow. How bad is it?

I remember that line when it was an L&N branch and ran with EMD re-engined Alco switchers, probably not much more than 10 mph. --Mike Date: 08/21/14 00:46 Re: Transkentucky Transportation dash 7's at night Author: Evan_Werkema stlrailfan Wrote:
