I was wondering about that place the other night while looking through some P&LE and Youngstown pics. I am from Warren. What all is left at this site. I had heard that there was still security in and out of there to keep folks out.

Biggest mistake we as teenage railfans made was not shooting all we could of the P&LE and not chasing YN2 painted CSX locos.

I had even heard a rumor that all the P&LE power was parked in one spot for a short while.

Anyone have a listing of where all the former P&LE equipment ended up??

Not much at all is left at Gateway Yard! I believe that only one track is still in and connected at the east end.

I have most of the P&LE dispositions. If you're interested, e-mail me and I'll help you out. Actually I might have a few questions about Eglin AFB for you, the 33TFW in particular!

Two P&LE GP38's are on the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway, currently numbered 3809 and 3870. 3870 has the extended cab for dual controls.

P&LE numbers
ENR 3809: 2031
ENR 3870: 2050

ENRAILWAY, would u happen too have photo's of these units 3809,3870 or in the 2031,2050 numbers. and where do hey work of out thanks crash

They work out of the Wellcox yards in Nanaimo an no I don't have pics of them as 2031 and 2050, sorry.
