Neat! Has FEC assigned a number series for these yet?

Ug - more GE widecabs. The Champion paint scheme on them is like putting lipstick on a pig...

Just one fan's opinion.

I guess they can't afford to have both SD70M-2s and ES44C4s.

Just as likely all that means is the 1st one of the FEC order - I wouldn't assume that'll be the FEC reporting mark. Like others though I'm certainly curious how they'll number them.

I didn't know they came off the assembly line in unpainted brass! Maybe they'll have digital control and sound?

These, to me, will look far better than those hideous SD-70M noses.
Can't wait to see 'em running through St Augustine!

Will all the ES44s for FEC be built at Erie, or will any be built in Fort Worth?

Sorry but I guess I do not understand why FEC is getting rid of the SD70M-2s. CN and NS seem to like them.

I have a feeling one of the railroads will grab the SD70M-2s once FEC disposes of them.

That's possible seeing as they're all leasers being returned once the GEVO's arrive. At least, I had heard the M-2's were all leasers.
