Here are my photos from yesterday, September 17, 2014 in the Youngstown, OH area. Started off in Lowellville waiting on CSX K055 with Erie 1068 trailing. After catching it there, caught a rerouted NS coal train in Struthers, then got K055 heading away from Center St. crossing, and then two more CSX trains before calling it a day. Enjoy!

#1. CSX Q216 speeds eastward through Lowellville with CSX 7741 (C40-8W) leading CITX 3068 (SD40-2; ex-FURX).

#2. NS C57 power running light northbound towards Haselton, with OLS GP59E rebuild 4654 in the lead.

#3. CSX K055-15 finally makes its appearance at around 4:05 p.m. with BNSF 6597 (ES44C4) leading NS Erie 1068 (SD70ACe).

#4. Roster shot of Erie 1068 on K055. This is my second catch of an NS heritage unit in Lowellville on CSX rails. The train will shortly come to a stop at Center St. in Youngstown.

#5. Rerouted NS 572 heads northward through downtown Struthers, OH, approaching CP Graham with a consist of all Reading & Northern Bethgon hoppers. Normally this train is routed the Fort Wayne Line to Alliance, then the Cleveland Line from Alliance to Cleveland and beyond, but was taking a detour today.

#6. K055 heads west away from the Center St. bridge after being held for a little while with the city of Youngstown, OH in the background.

#7. CSX stack train Q016 heads east across the NS diamonds at Center St. after having a meet with K055 to the west of here. NS 572 is stopped behind the camera waiting on the CSX cross traffic to clear.

#8. NS 572 seen earlier in Struthers is seen stopped at the north end of Haselton Yard at CP Graham waiting on a signal across the CSX main.

#9. To end the day, a long CSX Q375 heads west passing Waverly Ave. on Youngstown's west side in the late afternoon shadows.

Nice shots from Center St. Where do you safely park your car to walk up on the bridge for pictures? I assume there is a sidewalk over the bridge. Thanks

I actually parked my car as far as I could along the side of Center St. and put my hazard signal on.
