Eastern Railroad Discussion > Hyattsville CSX Action and Extension UpdateDate: 09/21/14 19:38 Hyattsville CSX Action and Extension Update Author: GP35 Thought to share some Washington, D.C. area CSX action from the Hyattsville, Maryland wye. These pics are from today this beautiful Sunday September 21, 2014. I have a total of 7 trains to share that I caught from 10:25 am til 12:25 pm. Not too bad for a Sunday late morning at the wye. I will also include some freight car pics for the modelers out there. Also I will include some more progress on the double tracking project going on along the old B&O Alexandria Extension from JD to Jones Hill siding. Not too much more progress but I have some to report on. Anyway I hope everyone will find the following pictures interesting to view, Gilbert.
First pic is of eastbound intermodal L138-19 led by CSX 7904 and 5006 on # 2 track at JD 10:25 am. 248 axle count. Next two pics are of eastbound autorack L226-19 led by NS 6912 and 2623 on # 1 track at JD 10:44 am. 264 axle count.
