NS 8101 (CoG) coming east with oil?
Author: Lackawanna484

NS engine 8101, the Central of Georgia unit, is reported to be in Glyndon MN (east of Grand Forks) as second unit on an oil train with NS 1024 first. Does anyone know where the unit and train are headed?

The CoG unit has been enjoying the West and Pacific Northwest for several weeks, maybe it's on the way to home rails again?

Thanks for any help

It's headed for Chicago after being parked east of Dilworth, MN for a couple days. BNSF 4647 leading NS 1024 and NS 8101. Symbol is U-BERNSB0-18T.

Should be a 66Z type train when it gets back to the NS in Chicago, it went out West on a 67Z quite a few weeks ago

I suppose they might wye the power at Fairlane or Rockport (Cleveland), so the CG will lead for cab signals, like has happened in the past with BNSF leaders and NS trailers.

Yes, arrived after midnight. I believe it has already departed on the NS, but I don't know where it's currently located.
