Eastern Railroad Discussion > Early foliage on Sand PatchDate: 09/23/14 18:25 Early foliage on Sand Patch Author: cinder A moist green summer has been followed by a dry September on the east slope of CSX's Sand Patch grade. As a result, the sugar maples are already beginning to color-up around Mance, PA. There was a noticeable change between Sep 18 & 21.

Thanks for posting these great pictures... leroy Date: 09/25/14 00:57 Re: Early foliage on Sand Patch Author: aussiehinz My favorite too. Beautiful pix, "cinder." I thoroughly enjoyed my three years living in Frostburg MD from 1993 to 1996; no matter what season it was always a very scenic 20 minute drive up to Sand Patch. A special place to be sure. #137, October 17, 1995

named Oakland, MD as the best location for Fall foliage viewing. Date: 09/25/14 05:38 Re: Early foliage on Sand Patch Author: keysubdiv beautiful! Those consecutive #`ed 9000`s have probably been together
since they were delivered. You would almost see a pair on the 135 and 137 every visit to CSX country. twl aussiehinz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > My favorite too.
