On Saturday I made my way up to Brewster, Ohio, to get a few pictures of W&LE in the area. I was hoping to find some decent fall foliage colors but it's still a bit early for the leaves to change in eastern Ohio.
I was surprised to see how much traffic they had for a Saturday. There were about 10 trains in and out of Brewster during the day.

Then on Sunday I was at home when I heard an eastbound W&LE train get a trackwarrant to go east out of Brewster on the Rook Subdivision. I made my way over to Winter's Spur in Bolivar for pictures of it.

Here are nine pictures from Saturday and Sunday.

1) W&LE GP9R 4602 and GP35-3 108 switching near the center of the yard in Brewster.
2) W&LE 304 leading the 524 local from Navarre into the yard at Baymere Road in Brewster.
3) I went over to the west end of the yard and saw train 237 waiting to leave. They are working on putting in several new yard tracks to accommodate for extra traffic.

4) Another shot of train 237 at the west end of the yard at Alabama Road. They took out a lot of trees in the area, making this shot possible.
5) 237 passing a grain elevator complex between Brewster and Kidron.
6) After chasing 237 I went back to Brewster to find two more trains at the west end. 4602 was building westbound train 227 and 109 was waiting in the background to put together another westbound.

7) One more shot of 4602 pulling tankcars at the west end of the yard.
8) And on Sunday, W&LE 305 and 300 led train 212 through Bolivar.
9) These two former Boston and Maine hoppercars were on the 212.
